With over 30 years’ experience in the building industry, we can manage the entire project for you. Our trusted team includes an approved electrician and heating engineer, so there’s no need to organise several different trades yourself. He handled every challenge that came up with skill and a positive attitude, and his attention to detail was outstanding. Unfortunately he's too busy yo fit me in within my timeframe, which is clearly testimony to his work! Despite this, on both occasions Stuart gave me lots of time over the phone to guide and advise me, and I couldn't be more grateful. We were so pleased with Stuart's work that we arranged for him to come back to remodel our ensuite bathroom and our utility room. In order for this work to be done we needed to overcome some obstacles regarding the layout of the rooms. Stuart's help with planning and designing the rooms (explaining different options) was invaluable. We have been impressed with every aspect of Stuart's work, including his ability to find solutions to any difficulties. All his work is done to the highest standard. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him and he always makes sure the result is exactly what we want. He recently advised me on several ways that I could improve my kitchen by replacing the plinths and cabinet end support panels, etc.and that a replacement kitchen was not needed at the moment! I have taken his advice and renewed the floor covering too and the kitchen looks much, much better. Stuart has saved me a lot of money, so a Big Thank you and when I eventually do need a replacement kitchen, I will certainly know who to go to ! Stuart has a portfolio of building work projects that his company have done over the years, plus ongoing  work being done . All photos being on his phone, which I found very interesting. Stuart is highly skilled across a range of construction disciplines and has a wealth of experience in this field. He is also very good at identifying solutions to various problems which arise during major refurbishment. During the course of his work on our bathroom he kept us fully appraised of progress and offered many useful tips and suggestions. He is very efficient and always keeps the work area as clean as can be which is appreciated, particularly when dealing with black mortar walls such as we had. Aside from his professionalism and high work ethic, he is also a very nice, trustworthy person who we soon looked upon as a family friend. Our new bathroom is modern, stylish and will meet our needs in perfectly for many years to come. We would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to have work of a high quality undertaken. I am so glad I chose Hughes Builder to do the two jobs. On his first visit Stuart took me through the whole process concerning costs, the work involved and timescales and also suggested a few things that I hadn’t thought of. Once the job started Stuart was punctual, polite and turned up everyday. The workmanship was excellent, which you would expect from someone who has over 30 years experience in the trade. Unfortunately some issues cropped up that were not known at the time and Stuart dealt with them efficiently and calmly.
